If you've decided to take the plunge and learn a new language using Rosetta Stone, or are ready for their free trial, then you'll first need to download their software for computer, smartphone, or tablet.
Once you've installed the software, fire it up and log into your account. You'll see a number of options available to you, depending on which subscription package you purchased. If you chose one language, only then you'll see the beginning modules for that language displayed on your screen.
If you selected a subscription package that covers multiple languages, then you'll see the available languages you can learn. Once you've selected your language of choice, then you'll see the beginner modules.
There are five different levels for you to work through, each increasing in difficulty and covering more of daily life within a country. The lessons often consist of a mix of grammatical fundamentals, as well as testing your skills with real-life scenarios, such as purchasing coffee or asking for directions.
Each individual section has several smaller lessons in order to ensure that you don't get overwhelmed as soon as you begin. However, you'll find that the pace of learning is suitable for almost any learner, even if you've never studied another language before.
Each module is designed to be repeated multiple times until you're comfortable that you've learned the lesson thoroughly. Although, it never hurts to go through a module that you find challenging more than once.
Rosetta Stone offers you several differently priced subscriptions based on how long you wish to subscribe. Prices start at $11.99 per month for a three-month subscription for one specific language, $7.99 per month for a yearly subscription for one specific language, and, as the best offer, $179 for a lifetime subscription for Unlimited languages.
If you're unsure whether or not you can commit to a long period of learning, you may find it beneficial to start with a shorter subscription. You can always extend your subscription if you find yourself spending more and more time with Rosetta Stone.
